Hi, I’m Martina!

I’m an English and Chinese Simplified to Italian translator, editor, and proofreader, specialising in marketing translation and transcreation. I help brands speak Italian in a way that feels natural, persuasive, and unmistakably authentic.

My work perfectly overlaps with my passions: travelling (motorbike + tent = bliss), outdoor sports (yes, I’m a sportswear addict!), and all things China — from its culture and people to its fast-moving markets.

This mix of interests and expertise lets me create translations that don’t just communicate words, but capture feeling, tone, and local flavour.

Experience

I bring 4 years of hands-on experience in translation and transcreation, paired with 2 years managing projects for brands and agencies, ensuring smooth delivery from start to finish.

Academically, I hold a Master’s in China and Global Studies from the University of Turin (2023) and a Bachelor’s in Translation and Interpreting from the SSML of Pisa (2020).

My approach

Translation is about capturing meaning, not just swapping words. I work closely with my clients, asking the right questions and fine-tuning every detail so the final copy feels emotionally and culturally spot-on.
